Rice porridge

So the other day I needed to eat breakfast but was looking for something easy and gluten free. When I opened the refrigerator door I discovered I had some leftover jasmine rice. I threw a 1/2 cup or so into a bowl and added approximately 1/4 c of water. I heated it on high for 3 minutes until the rice was sort of soft and beginning to break up. I topped it with some fresh home made almond milk a touch of cinnamon and some chopped dates. It was a perfect breakfast to have a bit before my morning workout. Easy to digest and providing just the right amount of carbs to get me through a decent workout.
