3 Simple Steps to Lose Weight Naturally

If you are an average American you gain a few unwanted pounds each year. It's not because you want to. I know you are busy. Actually, that is the number one reason given from many of my clients. They work too much, have kids and quite frankly feel like they just don't have time to take care of themselves.

But remember, without you, life just wouldn't be the same. 

That’s why I am going to break it down, just like I do for my clients, into small sustainable changes that you can make right away. I created a 3 step program to help you lose weight and get back on track.

Listed below are 3 simple steps to lose weight naturally:

Eat 

What you choose to eat will account for more than 70% of your success. Choose whole foods from the four food groups and make most of the sources plant-based and full of color. Consume foods that are not processed or minimally processed and closest to their natural form. Remember your body is a part of nature, so read labels and consume only foods found in nature. If you don’t know how to pronounce it your body probably doesn’t know what to do with it either.

Connect

Take time out to take care of YOU and live in the present moment. Connect with friends and family and most important...YOURSELF. Take a few moments each day to check-in with your body, breathe deep and practice gratefulness. When we connect with our bodies we are more aware of what we are putting in it and as a result we make healthier choices.​

Move

Make sure to include all five elements of fitness in your weekly routine. They include: cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and balance exercises. Mixing up our routine each week helps our bodies to remain challenged and we achieve consistent weight loss as a result.​  You don't need to spend hours at the gym. Try a simple home workouts, videos, or go for a quick run.  

Remember consistency is the key to success. Take it slow and focus on creating and achieving postive actions. When we practice healthy habits on a daily basis we return to what is right for us and our bodies. Our energy begins to soar, we lose weight and we begin to feel healthy and happy again.
